Music has played a big role in my life for as long as I can remember. As kids, my siblings and I almost never went anywhere without a tape or CD playing in the car. As a twelve year-old, I started listening to Saturday matinee opera broadcasts. (What can I say? I was a strange kid!) I remember hearing a Metropolitan Opera Broadcast of Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde and being totally entranced from the first chord. At fifteen, I decided I was going to be a pianist, and I haven’t looked back since.

This blog is focused on music education and my experiences teaching private piano lessons. I want to use it to share my experiences and things that I’ve learned, review books and curriculum, post life updates, and of course share recordings and other musical tidbits!
